I shake my head in pity when I see so many people who call themselves Gospel Ministers and are still toddlers in spiritual issues.More pathetic are the ones who think ministry is about standing on the pulpit and reeling out charismatic and non-charismatic displays.
I have seen some go down the drain because they fail to be processed by the Holy Spirit.The ones I feel for most are those who have allowed charisma to becloud their senses of reasoning and have no strong regard for the place of characters.
Rev. Iretiola made a great statement when he said,
"WHAT BROUGHT MEN FROM GRACE TO GRASS FOLLOWED THEM FROM GRASS TO GRACE"
The first training for those genuinely called of God is TOTAL EMPTINESS. He will have to empty you of whatever you might rely upon and make you to trust in His grace than your abilities.
Those who have passed through the school of The Spirit don't rely upon their senses or their academic acumen to run the ministry.They rely totally on His help.
But what do we see this day? Men who rely more on their intellectual capacities and neglect the place of the Holy Spirit. Carnality in the churches is a direct result of carnal ministers ministering to carnal people.
When you are emptied of God the things of the world hold no sway over your life again because you want to live like the Master.When you are truly emptied, living carnally become a taboo. You only think of toying with sin when your spiritual life begins to read RED.
If there is one thing I fear about divine calling its that it's the most dangerous and delicate thing to accept.The Lord told me years ago,
"THERE ARE SOME MINISTERS WHO WOULD HAD MADE HEAVEN ASSUMING THEY DIDN'T ANSWER MY CALL BUT LIVED THE CHRISTIAN LIFE BUT BECAUSE THEY ANSWERED MY CALL AND ABUSED IT THEY LANDED IN HELL"
To be sincere with you all,if God can give me the opportunity to chose between MINISTRY and BUSINESS today I will gladly chose BUSINESS and drop MINISTRY.I say this with all sincerity.
If you know what ministry is all about you will quiver and ask God for more abundant mercy to do it in His own way. That is why I look at some ministers who just teach or say things that don't make people more spiritual in Christ,have no strong Bible backing and also encourage people to live a loose life or a sub-standard Christian life.
I was caught up in a trance years ago and I saw all ministers standing before the judgement throne of Christ. I saw a particular minister who was telling the one close to him of all his exploits for the kingdom and even went further to point to another minister who did not do as much as he did.
The man who was assumed to do nothing went before the throne and he was asked to enter into the rest of His Lord. I watched as the boastful minister went before the throne and He was told to depart into everlasting torment.He objected and referred to the other minister who was allowed to go in without doing much exploits as he did.It was then I came back into consciousness.
So many ministers have been carried away by their exploits for God that they fail to take into cognizance the exploits they are doing in conforming to the image of Christ. R.W Shambach wrote a book many years ago titled,
HOW TO HEAL THE SICK,CAST OUT DEVILS, PERFORM MIRACLES AND STILL GO TO HELL
I recommend this book for all ministers to read.Rick Joyner in his books THE FINAL QUEST and THE QUEST are eye openers also.I will never forget the book written by Mike Murdock titled
MY ADVISE TO YOUNG MINISTERS
We need to be extra careful as ministers of the Gospel. I don't want to serve God and miss eternity.You better be sure that God called you before embarking on His mission.If you are not sure and the calling was forced on you by your G.O you had better humble yourself and drop such before you get yourself destroyed.
The demons sent against Gospel Ministers alone is shocking.This is the reason you see many ministers misbehaving seriously. I challenge all those who believe they are called to pray for personal encounter with the God they believed called them.Such encounters will really reduce the mess on our pulpits.God help us all.
