b. WHAT IS ANCESTRAL? This has to do with the family you
came from. That is your family lineage. Every family has an history. We are all
descendants from various families with different historical facts. From my tribe,
my ancestors were chronic idol worshippers. It also has to do with spirit
controlling the locality you find yourself either home or business. Thank God
for Jesus. We are more than conquerors.
c. WHAT ARE ANCESTRAL ALTARS: These are altars dedicated for
ancestral worship of deities (demons) or past great heroes like ogun the god of
iron, oya the goddess of the sea, sango the god of thunder etc.
Ancestral altars have to do with idolatry which God really
hates-Exodus 20:1-5.
“And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy
God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of
bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee
any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that
is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt
not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a
jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the
third and fourth generation of them that hate me”
This is the number
one problem with African countries. So many altars had been dedicated to
demons. Altars can be anywhere. There are community altars, family altars,
street altars, market altars, house altars and even satanic church altars. Yes
you read that right SATANIC CHURCH ALTARS. In my part of the world, both
physical and spiritual altars are common grounds.
Most Christian traders find it hard to make headway in there
various market zones because of satanic altars in such market places. Virtually
every market, shopping complexes and business areas have satanic altars from
the part of the world I come from. Such altars are being offered sacrifices
time to time. Some contributions market traders are told to pay unknowingly are
used to buy things to be sacrificed to such altars. Hmm! God have mercy
A Christian that will succeed in business and life must be
ready to be strong in Christ. This is why many Christians are compromising
their faith in order to make earthly gains. Running a successful business in
this present world is not easy.
Some time ago, a Christian woman rented a shop in a big
market. She invested a lot into it. When I was taken there seeing the spiritual
climate of the place, I advised her to forget the place and go for another
place. She did not listen to me. She said she had spent a lot there. I just
told her if anything should happen later, I don’t want to hear anything about
it.
To cut a long story short, I can’t tell you all the details.
She was not ready to appease the altars. An old man even came to tell her what
she must do to make great sales. She declined because of her faith. In less
than two years, the business did not thrive. She had to sell off her
machineries at a ridiculous price and went back to square one.
d. WHAT ARE FAMILIAR SPIRITS: These are family spirits or
territorial spirits. These are spirits who know the origin and full details of
on ’s family or the territory.
A young lady of 30 went for prayers. As the pastor prayed
for her, a demon spoke out with a male voice, “I CAN’T LEAVE.WE HAVE BEEN
CONTROLLING THIS FAMILY FOR 200 YEARS”. That lady was a Christian. This may be
shocking and unbelievable. I have seen demons speaking from believers. God have
mercy.
Familiar spirits are demons who monitor all the offspring’s
of those who had made covenants with them. Why do people end up like their
parents in actions, marriage, behaviours etc.? Some say it is in the blood or
it is genetic in nature. I say it is the influence of these familiar spirits.
I met a lady who gave birth through immorality at age 16.On
probing further; I discovered the mother did the same thing and the grandma as
well. That is no coincidence. That is the work of familiar spirits maintaining
the status quo in the lineage.
There is a particular family that there males must die or
run mad at a particular age. It has been a frequent thing until a young man who
gave his life to Christ broke the jinx not without experiencing some form of
the madness though. But thank God for the power of Jesus and prayers. This is
the work of familiar spirits.
These accursed spirits know your family weaknesses and how
to easily get you and make you fall into sin as a Christian. That is why anyone
under the influence of ancestral spirits can never be a serious Christian until
such is delivered or becomes strong in the Holy Ghost and in the Word of God.
Abraham lied about his wife. Isaac who did the same thing years after was not
there when his father lied. Jacob became worse. He not only lied but became a
thief as well.
This is the work of familiar spirits. The besetting sin in
your life is not something familiar to you alone. It has been in your family
lineage. It can either grow worse or be reduced/eradicated depending on your
personal spiritual inclination.
This is one reason I tell intended couples to do a lot of
research into their backgrounds before going into marriage to get a glimpse of
what they might have to destroy, overcome or be cautious of. Family spirits are
powerful spirits that had attached themselves to people’s lives due to the
legal grounds given to them by our fore fathers and mothers for centuries.
As a young intending couple I made that grave mistake of not
acting on my full enquiry I made on my family and my wife’s own. Though I later
did act on it but not after I have lost a lot. God have mercy.
God warned the Israelites not to seek those with familiar
spirits. Why? He knew the danger there. Seeking such is a spiritual means of
reviving the demonic altars they had destroyed and reestablishing the ties with
such spirits again. Saul sought one that led to his doom.1 Samuel 28:7, 11-19
“Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath
a FAMILIAR SPIRIT, that I may go to her, and enquire of her”.1 Sam 28:7
“ Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And
he said, Bring me up Samuel. And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a
loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for
thou art Saul. And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou?
And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.And he said
unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is
covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped
with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?
And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against
me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets,
nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto
me what I shall do. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me,
seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?" 1 Sam 28:11-16
It is very evident in this story this is an ancestral
familiar spirit that took the form of Samuel. Satan is so clever. Saul who once
destroyed these set of people was still the one who went to seek their help.
There are Christians today who go to seek the help of such people and some even
operate via church business. God help us.
I marvel at people
even Christians who give their children names of FATHER HAS COME BACK OR MOTHER
HAS COME BACK. Such is an open door for familiar spirits to come back into the family.
The amazing thing about it is that you begin to see such children behave like
the departed grandparents. God have mercy.
There was one who was innocently given such a name. When the
boy was around three or four he started saying and asking for some things which
only the late grandpa knew about. The family had to start hallowing such an
amazing boy. That is just pure familiar spirits in actions.
