The kingdom of darkness are quite aware of the consequence of immorality.They know too well that God detest it and will destroy such pollution off the earth.
This generation would have been destroyed but the saving grace we have is the blood of Jesus that has been shed on the Cross.
1.In Gen.7,God destroyed all living things because of the evils of immoralities.
2.In Gen.19,Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with fire.
3.In Numbers 23-25,Balaam could not harm the Israelites with his enchantment.He then gave Balak the evil secret code to make God destroy His own people.How!Immorality.
4. Judges 16,Samson lost his destiny to immorality on the laps of Delilah.What made me cry in his woes was the statement he made in verse 30,
"AND SAMSON SAID LET ME DIE WITH THE PHILISTINE..."
That utterance shook me vigorously.The shame was just too much.He knew he had disappointed God and man.He couldn't stand the shame of facing his people as a blind man.
The ridicules,the mockeries and the insults would have been too much.He could not live with himself again.
"THAT IS SAMSON GOING,THE ONCE GREAT MAN WHO BECAME BLIND DUE TO FORNICATION.HE IS A SHAME TO US.HE IS SUPPOSED TO DELIVER US FROM THE ENEMIES BUT HE DELIVERED HIMSELF AND WE ALL TO THE ENEMIES INSTEAD"
Are you not tolling that path already,young man/woman?
Many have been destroyed already,must you be added to the list?
Do you value sexual pleasures over your calling and destiny in God?
What spiritual values does immorality add to you?
5.In 2Samuel 11-13,David brought woes upon his family by his inability to control his lust and sexual desire.Slept with another man's wife,killed the husband to cover up,took the woman in after killing her husband.He forgot there is someone who sees all the secrets of mankind like many who fool themselves also today.
What made me to tremble in this story was the statement of the prophet in 12:10,
"NOW THEREFORE THE SWORD SHALL NEVER DEPART FROM THINE HOUSE;BECAUSE THOUS HAST DESPISED ME,AND HAST TAKEN THE WIFE OF URIAH THE HITTITE TO BE THY WIFE"
So many believers play with the lives of their family members,especially the married ones.When you engage in adultery,you don't know you are opening the doors of your matrimonial home for demonic invasion.
Some men have allowed their extra marital affairs partners to bring troubles to their spouses and kids.You don't know the person you are flirting with is an agent of satan.
Another thing that shocked me in David's story was God's verdict on him.God told him He was going to embarrass him in the public 12:11-12,
"THUS SAITH THE LORD,BEHOLD,I WILL RAISE UP EVIL AGAINST THEE OF THINE OWN HOUSE,AND I WILL TAKE THY WIVES BEFORE THINE EYES,AND GIVE THEM UNTO THY NEIGHBOUR,AND HE SHALL LIE WITH THY WIVES IN THE SIGHT OF THIS SUN.FOR THOU DIDST IT SECRETLY:BUT I WILL DO THIS BEFORE ALL ISRAEL,AND BEFORE THE SUN"
For those who term God to be so loving,kind,patient and over pampering,you need to have a rethink.God detest all sins especially immoralitities.Repent and stop such acts.Why destroy your future for a short term pleasure?
