There are seasons when God seems to be missing in action.When it looks as if He is no longer in your life again or seem to have forgotten you or turned deaf ears to all your tears and prayers.
There are moments in my life that I have come to a crossroad and begin to ask myself,
IS GOD WORTH SERVING?
In such moment of discouragement,
DO YOU KNOW WHAT I DO?
I just think back and reflect on all His past goodness in my life and tell myself,
THE SAME GOD THAT SAW ME ME THROUGH THEN WILL SEE ME THROUGH THIS ONE.
That puppy is so wise that He makes you to forget all His past goodness in your life and concentrate on what He is yet to do.
I remember there was a time my wife was with our sick baby hospitalized and things were very tough for us then.I was so discouraged that it affected my prayer life.I just prayed shabbily one night and slept off.
In a dream that night,I knelt down on a very big gigantic Bible with my face downward.Two men suddenly appeared and touched me.So I put my face up.The first one told me,
"YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS PROBLEM"
The second one said,
"GOD IS WITH YOU"
I woke up and meditated on those statements.If God is with me why am passing through all these temptations?
You see there are times when God doesn't make sense or seems to take delight in our sufferings.But He doesn't.He is always with you.
"BUT ZION SAID,THE LORD HATH FORSAKEN ME,AND MY LORD HATH FORGOTTEN ME.CAN A WOMAN FORGET HER SUCKING CHILD,THAT SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE COMPASSION ON THE SON OF HER WOMB?YEA THEY MAY FORGET,YET WILL I NOT FORGET THEE.BEHOLD,I HAVE GRAVEN THEE UPON THE PALMS OF MY HANDS;THY WALLS ARE CONTINUALLY BEFORE ME" Isaiah 49:14-16
What a sweet loving words from our God who cares for us more than any human can.In times of trials and temptations,even though you get confused,dejected and discouraged,be rest assured that Our Father is with still with you.
"BUT NOW THUS SAITH THE LORD THAT CREATED THEE,O JACOB,AND HE THAT FORMED THEE,O ISRAEL,FEAR NOT:FOR I HAVE REDEEMED THEE,I HAVE CALLED THEE BY THY NAME:THOU ART MINE.WHEN THOU PASSETH THROUGH THE WATERS,I WILL BE WITH THEE;AND THROUGH THE RIVERS,THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW THEE:WHEN THOU WALKEST THROUGH THE FIRE,THOU SHALT NOT BE BURNED;NEITHER SHALL THE FLAME KINDLE UPON THEE" Isaiah 43:1-2
Hmm!!!God's Word is final.You don't need to feel any particular ecstasy to believe it.Just believe it whether you feel like or you don't.
If there is one thing I have come to know about God,He doesn't disappoint.He may show up late atimes but He will definitely show up.You can't die in that battle.You can't be swallowed up by the wicked.Just hold unto His Word.Keep confessing it while living the life He demands from you.Don't compromise your faith because such has a way of complicating your life.
Don't join them to take short cut that will eventually cut your life short.Don't go to the devil or his agents for solution because you will pay back with your soul.Instead say like Job,
"EVEN THOUGH HE SLAY ME,YET WILL I SERVE HIM"
God is ever faithful.Keep up keeping up in your faith and walk with God.He will definitely show up.I know He will.Don't listen to the voices of those condemned puppies with their unconscious agents who might even be your family members or friends.
GOD IS FAITHFUL
GOD IS LOVING
GOD IS GOOD
GOD IS MY FATHER AND MAKER
I WILL NEVER DENY GOD
I WILL WAIT ON HIM TILL MY CHANGE COME
"IF A MAN DIE,SHALL HE LIVE AGAIN?ALL THE DAYS OF MY APPOINTED TIME WILL I WAIT TILL MY CHANGE COME" Job 14:14
If Job can say this after He lost ten kids and all his properties with his health,you can do better than him.Job's story is a challenge.I was moved to tears when he uttered that solemn confession of faith in Job 13:15,
"THOUGH HE SLAY ME,YET WILL I TRUST IN HIM:BUT I WILL MAINTAIN MINE OWN WAYS BEFORE HIM"
What can be more challenging to God than to be resolute in your faith in times when your world has turned upside down?
Be encouraged.This journey atimes might be challenging,but He is always by your side.
"...LO ,I AM WITH YOU ALWAY,EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD.AMEN" Mathew 28:20
